SEASON DETAILS

  • SEASON: September to March
  • GAMES: 26 guaranteed (24 regular season + 2 to 6 playoff games)
  • ARENA: Yost Arena, Ice Cube
  • FREQUENCY: Teams typically play 1.5 game per week but may play more based on designated league dates and times. Season will start in mid September
  • GAME NIGHTS: Sunday Evenings with scattered Mondays/Wednesdays. 

DIVISIONS & TEAM SIZE

  • SKILL: A | B | C & Women's Divisions
  • Women can play in any division.
  • Minimum 15 players required per team (14F/D + 1G). LUG provides 15 jerseys per team standard. Teams can have more than 15 players, all players are required to register & LUG will get you a jersey or equivalent.

GAME FORMAT

  • GAME STRUCTURE
    • 17-15-15 run time periods
    • Last 2 minutes of 3rd is stop if within 2 goals.  
    • Shootout if tied

  • SEASON STRUCTURE

    • Up to 14 games per semester
    • Mid Season Michigan Holiday Classic Tournament (to crown mid-season champion)

BLACK OUT DATES & EXCHANGE

  • No games on stat holidays or other dates you normally wouldn't want to play. SEE COMPLETE LIST.
  • Any player enrolled in a 2nd semester exchange program will be given 40% off the registration price. Proof of enrolment for the Winter 2023 semester is required in order to receive this refund. To receive this refund, you must pay in full during registration and provide your proof of enrolment in a 2023 overseas exchange program. After being verified, a refund will be credited back to your card. 

JERSEYS

  • All registrations include LUG Hockey Jerseys. Teams who have their own sets of jerseys can opt-out of receiving LUG jerseys after registration for a refund. Team captains must request within 24 hours after registration for their team. 

SPACES ARE LIMITED. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE.

PAYMENT TYPE

  • This is your personal registration fee. Each team is responsible for a minimum of 15 player fees. Teams with less than 15 will owe a balance equal to the amount of registered players below 15 x the individual player fee.

SELECTING YOUR TEAM

  • Many teams have similar or the same names! Make sure you select your team in your city only! (check the city!)
