Legacy: What can we say about Gaelen. He's your regular 4th line grinder who just couldn't give up the dream. Gaelan was a part of the 2008 Corson Cup Champions Union Street Flying Fist Pumps and many thought that would be the end for ol G-Mur. But boy we were wrong. When his brothers joined LUG, G-Murr took a page out of ol Gordy Howe playbook and re-joined the league as a member of the Hamilton Mustangs. No longer in Kingston, Gaelen would travel 2 hours every Monday night to lace up with the boys. The next morning, he'd hit the road early at 5 am to make it back to the office in time. While the Stang's lost to Bar Down Law in the championship, we can all agree that G-Mur was the real winner for getting one last kick at the can. This is what legends are made of.
For his unheralded commitment to hockey, we're proud to induct Gaelen Murray as the 1st inductee into the LUG Hockey Hall of Fame.
