LUG Women's Hockey Season Details - College, University, Adult & Campus Leagues

LUG's women's college and adult leagues offers girls the chance to play recreational and competitive hockey in a real league where the hockey and the people matter. Play puck, be a part of a growing women's hockey community, and stay on the ice.

ABOUT THE LEAGUE

• Our largest women's hockey program
• The league is designed to track the academic calendar (no games during final exams, reading weeks, and holidays)
• Most players are enrolled in post-secondary programs but it is not exclusively for students...anyone can join!

• Our fastest growing women's hockey program
• The league is designed for adults looking for a regular, consistent hockey experience with more games and a longer season
• Most players are 21+ looking for a way to stay on the ice, be competitive, and be part of a growing hockey community

SEASON DETAILS

• October-March
• 13 games guaranteed (12 regular season + 1-4 playoff games)
• Sun-Thurs Nights (Game Days vary)
• SO (when time allows)
• 13-15-15 run time periods
• 2 x certified officials
• Single elimination playoffs. 1 game guaranteed.

• September-April
• 22 games guaranteed (20 regular season + 1-4 playoff games)
• Sun-Thurs Nights (Game Days are consistent)
• OT & SO (when time allows)
• 13-15-15 run time periods
• 2 x certified officials
• 2 game playoff series (R1) guaranteed

ARENAS

• Skate at various barns including CHL, OHL, QJHL, WHL, NCAA, Campus rinks and municipal rinks.

• Skate at local and municipal rinks with a consistent Home Arena.

TEAM SIZES & HOW TO JOIN

• 15 players per team (14F + 1G). Teams can have more than 15 players.
• Team Captain: Register 15+ players.
• Team Player: Register for your Team Captain's team.
• Get Drafted! Free Agents register on their own or as a small group and play together.

DIVISION & WAG CUP CHAMPIONSHIPS

• Win your Division and Hoist The Lord LUG Stanley Cup & receive your Limited Edition Championship Hats. Win the WAG CUP Championship and receive Exclusive Championship Rings and WAG Cup Championship Hats.
• Division winners qualify for the WAG CUP Championship Tournament. Play against Division Champions from 50+ LUG Leagues for a chance to ear your rings and become a legend.

SKILL LEVELS & DIVISIONS

• W1 Division Higher level women’s hockey.
• W2 Division: Recreational, laid-back, fun-focused games.

BLACK OUT DATES

• College: No games over holidays, long weekends, final exams, the Super Bowl, & other key dates you wouldn't normally want to play. 
• Adult: No games over holidays or long weekends.
