Piper's Pub is the most happening bar in Antigonish, every single night it is going, making it the safest bet when going out whether its a Tuesday after class or a Sunday night. This is the Go-to Bar for all St.FX students, so you know its the place to be.

GOLDEN X INN

Pros: On campus, no cover unless its a big event, pool tables, good events
Cons: Any guest must be signed in if they do not go to the university
Student Pro Tip: Wednesday nights are half-price wing nights, go between 5-7pm for the half-price wings, and then stay for when the bar turns into a more club vibe.
Out of all the campus bars out there, Golden X Inn has to be one of the best ones. Given its a campus bar, everyone there is either a students, or of student age making it a great place to hang out. In addition, the bar also host multiple events every week such as trivia, but its the special guests and events such as concerts with big name artists that makes it not only on of the best bars in Antigonish, but out of all campus bars.

SPINDRIFT (OAK MANOR)
Pros: Great atmosphere, cheap, dog friendly, live music
Cons: Pretty busy
Student Pro Tip: They are open later than the liquor store, so if you can't make it there in time you can stop in Spindrift and pick up a few cases of beer
This is the place to be to pre in the nish. The atmosphere is a lot more chill than some of the other places on our list and is frequented by mostly younger locals and students. What is most exciting is the roof top patio that is opening soon, be sure to stop in this summer to soak up some sun and enjoy some local craft brews.
