Red Bull & LUG Announce Power 5 Tournament

We all know that Red Bull does events BIG. The list of must-attend events thrown by the world's best Energy Drink goes on and on and on. From Red Bull Crashed Ice, Flugtag and Rampage to extreme Cliff Diving and Air Races; Red Bull combines competition, speed, and skill to create once in a life time event experiences.

LUG is proud to be teaming up with Red Bull Canada to introduce a new must-attend event! Red Bull Power 5 is a hockey tournament with a unique twist. Launching February 2nd on the Rideau Canal in Ottawa, Power 5 pushes the game we know and love to the limit! Join us on the ODR for a full-day hockey tournament with a festival-like atmosphere and a HUGE afterparty in the Byward Market.

In addition to this, Red Bull is partnering up with LUG to provide branded product and sampling opportunities to all LUG divisions and members of the LUG community throughout the rest of the season!

Not to mention, we'll also be joined by the boys from On The Bench who will be dusting off the ankle tape and competing in the tournament. If you needed any more incentive, it's also Winterlude in Ottawa bringing a festival vibe to the entire city.

When:

Saturday February 2nd, 2019

Where: 

The Rideau Canal, Ottawa, ON

What: 

Red Bull Power 5 is a 4 vs 4 hockey tournament with a unique twist. If your team scores, you get a 5th player for a 1-minute power-play. In a short 8-minute sprint of a game, your goal is to run up the score because every goal counts as you try to beat the bracket to win the $1,500 grand prize and bragging rights.

After Party:

After the tournament, LUG & Red Bull are throwing an absolutely twisted event in the Byward Market. In addition to tournament players, ALL PLUGs will receive the VIP treatment. Of course, all friends and family are welcome to join.
