LUG SPORTS COMMISSIONER

For many years, the only option for competitive players was to play for their school’s varsity team or join the poorly organized and over policed intramural leagues. LUG was created to provide players with another option. A highly competitive league, filled with friends, multiple university divisions, a Jr. hockey culture, strong community, and a focus on stats and having good times with the boys. LUG has become the leading student sports experience in Canada.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

LUG is looking for motivated, energetic and confident individuals to become our next Commissioners. We want people who are passionate about sports, whether its Hockey, Baseball, or Football. Our Commissioner’s are the driving force and face of the company. We’re made up of young, ambitious go-getters, with a passion for puck, 4th and inches, and hard slides into 1st. Once these roles are filled, we will be recruiting for Brand Managers, Social Media Managers, Photographers, Videographers etc.

 ABOUT THE ROLE:

This isn’t your everyday campus job. As a LUG Commissioner you’ll be working closely with students, local businesses, and your school community to plan the ultimate sport league experience. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their entrepreneurial, organizational, marketing and sales skills within in a fast-paced environment. 

 HOW YOU’LL DO IT:

  • Recruit Team Captains and players through a combination of networking, campus events, cold emailing and social media messaging, and face to face meetings
  • Coach and motivate Team Captains to sign up players for their teams
  • Solidify and grow existing LUG traditions
  • Participate in the league to ensure we over-deliver on every promise

YOUR EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:
