HOW TO JOIN LUG HOCKEY - TEAM | FREE AGENTS | PLAYERS

REGISTER A TEAM

1) CREATE A NEW TEAM

To create a new team, head over to the TEAM REGISTRATION CENTER. Select your division, fill out the registration information and create your team name. Teams should have a minimum of 14 players & 1 goalie but can have more. Share your team name with the players on your team so they can sign up for your roster.

2) JOIN A TEAM

Once your team captain has created a new team, head over to to the PLAYER REGISTRATION CENTER. Select your division, fill out the registration information and select your captain's Team Name from the drop down menu. **Do not register on a random team, instead use the Free Agent Center. Players who register on a random team will be removed**

REGISTER AS A FREE AGENT

To register as an individual or as a small group 2-10 players, head to the FREE AGENT REGISTRATION CENTER. Once you are there, you have the option to submit the names of your friends that you would like to play with. We will place you on a team the week before the season starts. We have a 99% placement rate.

TEAM SIZES - HOCKEY 2023-24 SEASON

1) CREATE A FULL TEAM OF 15+

To create a full team, your team will need a minimum of 15 players registered. After your captain registers the team, the remaining players can join the roster. Your team will be locked once at least 15+ players are registered. This means, no free agents will be added to your team.

2) JOIN AS A TEAM OF 9-12

If you have less than 15 players but you have a core 9-12 who want to play together, then you can register a team. Once the team is created the remaining players can join the roster. Since you have less than 15 players, free agents will be added to your team (up to a minimum of 15 players)**

3) JOIN AS AN INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP OF 2-4

If you do not have a team or have less than 9 players but still want to play with your friends, navigate to the FREE AGENT portal. Add the first and last name of the player(s) you would like to play with in your registration file and we place you all on the same team.

**LUG will add Free Agents to teams based on (1) availability, (2) skill level matches, (3) requests. If LUG does not have free agents, teams will be responsible for any outstanding fees for non-registered players.
